Spring is the season of daydream, excitement at the increased day’s length and at the sight of pretty blooming trees. The season inspires us to press the restart button on our lives and start on a new page. New floral prints make their way back to our wardrobes as we feel the need to express our new happiness in color.
For this spring season, Ted Baker has a series of vibrant floral prints. Here I am rocking my new neon floral print blazer from the electric daydream collection. This blazer with its neon undertones is a staple piece for spring due to its styling versatility. It can be dressed up when paired with a pencil skirt for an evening dinner/lounge attire or with a pair of skinny trousers for a more relaxed daytime brunch look.
To Avoid detraction from the statement floral blazer I decided to keep my accessorizing to a minimal. I finished off the look with my favorite white booties from Asos and a simple chain bracelet.

Much like a game of chess, great style is all about strategically making your next move and not being afraid to take a risk at times. The bright colourways, risky hemline and voluminous shape of this vibrant 1950’s inspired ensemble is a great example of how some sartorial experimentation can result in a timeless and chic look.
The focal point of this outfit is the multi-coloured vintage Balenciaga skirt that belonged to Mona’s mother back in the 1980s. Although this skirt is decades old, it still possesses an ultra-modern feel thanks to its vivid colours and unique length that hits the sweet spot between maxi and midi. Maxi skirts and dresses are timeless summer staples, and the midi length hemline made a huge resurgence on the Fall 2013 runways.
Tucking in a top is a great way to style a voluminous skirt such as this one. Here, a bright pink Cynthia Rowley silk top that picks up on the pink lines of the skirt is tucked in to carve out a feminine silhouette.
A tricky hemline such as this one can cut off your legs and make them appear shorter, so the proper choice of footwear is vital. Nude coloured heels close to your skin tone solve this problem by creating the illusion of a longer leg. A handcrafted silver statement necklace and metallic clutch bag finish off the look and lend a contemporary touch.
